MURDER ACCUSED MAKES FIRST APPEARANCE AT GRENVILLE MAGI...
Grenville, St. Andrew’s :- Twenty-one year old Lindon Mason, a mechanic from Tulleries, St. Andrew’s, made his first appearance at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court today where he was formally charged for causing the death of eighteen year old Stevon Augustine, a resident of Hope, St. Andrew’s. The lifeless body of Augustine was found on a beach in Soubise on Monday morning. The body revealed punctures to the upper torso, suggesting that the injuries were caused by some sharp, pointed instrument. It is alleged that the police had picked up seven young men who were assisting them in their investigations into the circumstances resulting in the death of Stevon; however, only Mason was retained and charged. Mason was remanded at the Richmond Hill Prisons and will be making his next court appearance sometime later on this month. He was represented by prominent city lawyer, Derrick Sylvester.

As a child growing up in Grenada, everybody use cutlass. There was little cutlass for women and big cutlass for men. There were a lot of sugarcane and bananas. People cut those things everyday and there was few cutting of human beings. Traditions hardly ever change. Grenadians always used to cutting and this will never change. I AM BEGGING THIS NEW ADMINISTRATION TO DO SOMETHING NOW OTHERWISE WE WONT HAVE YOUNGMEN. Chopping will never stop, we just have to change what they are chopping.PLEASE bring back the large farms. These men need to release thier energy/ LET THEM CHOP THE BANANA AND SUGARCANE, THEY HAVE NO BLOOD

my heart goes out to the parents of both the deceased and the accused. It is rather sad and unfortunate that two young lives have been wasted. Let's pray that our young people would value their lives and make right choices.
