GRENADA, July 30, 2009 – In a prime time address to the nation, Grenada’s Prime Minister, Hon. Tillman Thomas on Thursday night announced a much anticipated reshuffle of his one year old administration. In his preamble, the Prime Minister said that he has been listening to the views and concerns expressed by the people of the country and he recognizes the fact that qualitative improvement is urgent and necessary for the sustainable growth and improvement of the country. He said that his mandate as prime Minister is hinged on two very important things: • To inspire and lead the nation • To manage government effectively It was against this background that the Prime Minister announced his cabinet reshuffle with the following designation of portfolios: Hon. Tillman Thomas, Prime Minister, National Security, Legal Affairs, Public Administration, Information, Information Technology, Culture Hon. Nazim Burke, Finance, Planning, Economy, Energy and Cooperatives Hon. Peter David, Foreign Affairs Hon. Patrick Simmons, Youth Empowerment and Sports Hon. Michael Church, Environment, Foreign Trade and Export Development Hon. Alleyne Walker, Housing, Lands and Community Development Hon. Joseph Gilbert, Works, Physical Development and Public Utilities Hon. Karl Hood, Labour, Social Security and Ecclesiastical Affairs Hon. Sylvester Quarless, Social Development Hon. Glynis Roberts, Tourism Hon. Michael Lett, Forestry, Agriculture, Fisheries Sen. George Prime, Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs Sen. Franck Alexis-Bernardine, Education, Human Resource Development Sen. Anne Peters, Health Sen. Glen Noel, Min. of State in Housing, Lands and Community Development Sen. Arley Gill, Min. of State in the PM's office, Information, Information Technology, Culture

Congrats to all thoes ministers who have been promoted to these ministral post we the people hope that you will perform your duties on behalf of all our people, in the most highly way that will be of benifit to all our people and to our government and i would also say well done to Ms Glynis Roberts on her new post as minister of Tourism long over due and which now gives Mr David more time to get on with his jod as minister of foreign affairs, so to uncle T we say well done and yes we are moving . one love
