ST. JOHN’S REUNION 09  
August 2009, Gouyave, St. John- The parish of St. John is getting ready for the biggest reunion in Grenada’s history. The St. John’s Reunion 09 is scheduled for 12 to 16th August 2009. The Reunion is being organized to bring together persons from all over the world who were born in or have a connection to St. John. Several of the parish’s prominent sons and daughters are expected to join in the celebrations. Top on this list are the Present Governor General, His Excellency Sir Carlyle Glean, Sir Paul Scoon, past Governor General and thousands of persons from all over the world. The reunion will be officially opened at a ceremony at the Cuthbert Peters Park in Gouyave on 12th August by His Excellency Sir Carlyle Glean, the afternoon is designed for persons who are attending the reunion to socialized and network.. The following days there will be Boat cruise, historical tours of the parish, a games evening, local cultural presentations as well as aquatic sports which will include sailing. All persons who were born in the Parish of St. John are welcome to attend, there are no fees for entering. The reunion Committee is encouraging every person to pass on this information about the Reunion to their relatives and friends. Funds raised at the reunion will be donated to charitable causes in the parish. Wed. AUGUST 12/09 Opening of REUNION, Cuthbert Peters Park 10.00 to 10. 15am: Networking Opening ceremony 12.00 Call to Order Introduction by Master of ceremony • Prayer • National Anthem • Welcome Remarks & over view of objectives for reunion 09 by Chairman, Reunion 09 • Parliamentary Representative for St. John, Hon. Michael Church. • Governor General, Sir Carlyle Glean 1 pm : All Day Party to allow for socializing, Card games, dominoes, draught, netball, and football, table tennis, Basket ball, Music.
