GULP CALLS FOR A PEACEFUL CARNIVAL
St. George, Grenada -- My Dear Grenadians, with God’s richest blessings, on behalf of the General Secretary, Executive members and members of the Grenada United Labour Party, have a fun filled, crime free and peaceful carnival season. Carnival, as originated from our African Ancestors was meant to celebrate and have festive moments. Remember when the season is over, we still have to live on our beautiful shores. Despite the hardships and tough economic times, Grenadians are experiencing a type of merriment second to none. Grenadians just simply know how to have fun with little resources. The level of activities in various communities across Grenada makes it look like years ago where communities came together and organized activities through their streets. This spirit of togetherness is worthy of extended praise, and must continue in the same spirit of love and peace. Grenada has always been a very quiet and peaceful place and is well renowned worldwide for its hospitality. Most Grenadians abroad will come back home at this time just to get a glimpse of the life they can’t duplicate overseas. Grenada’s love is strong. We must seek to maintain this beautiful spot under the sun. Violence should never be the answer, ensure that we all abide by the laws of the land and make this season a crime-free one. Let each of us be our neighbour’s keeper; using this season to say no to political divides and the atrocity politicians attempt to create by misinforming and dividing our people. Politicians and come and go, but Grenada remains perpetual. Your first priority is to your country not a political party. Your patriotism should move you to act at all times in the best interest of your country and don’t let your own self-centeredness guide your actions. Encourage each other to do right and stay clear of all forms of violence. Don’t drink in excess; stay away from fights and troubles; hold your head high this season and act in a manner that would make this country the best land; the land of great people. In these hard times it is important that we watch our spending and budget well. If you have kids, remember school is just around the corner. Don’t spend all your money on Carnival, and when it’s over your children can’t go to school. This is a season, and you have a life after it is over. Exercise wisdom this season and make good judgments, don’t lose your self for the sake of the Carnival. Stay clear from all forms of conduct that would cause you to lose yourself in the name of fun. GULP prays that God will watch over his nation this season and reminds persons to take time to pray and give thanks to God. If all our people come together and realize that we have a nation to build, this land will be the one looked upon with admiration by all. We need to join hands and build Grenada together in a kind of unity that no one can disjoint. As a people let us teach the politicians how to behave in office by sharing the love of each other this season. Politicians have lost sight of their goals, and some are bringing this country down. And now, the time has come when the people most say “enough is enough” and get involved in the process of rebuilding this great nation. There is no place as sweet as Grenada and the people won’t let our politicians who are playing games with our heads destroy this beautiful isle. That is why GULP is united more than ever before to deliver to the people. GULP was tested and tried while all failed, and will deliver power to the people. GULP says let the fun and merriment be an extension of your love for Grenada and your fellow Grenadians. May God Bless You.

GULP CALLS FOR A PEACEFUL CARNIVAL
I will like people to not judge an isolated one year in office but rather look for the positive s and must take into consideration every aspect of the economy the only logical response is to trust the government and lets not judge for today nor the next 100 days but faithfully every day,yes we can, we must remember we have nobudget for economic stimulus package, but with Gods prayers, that,s our stimuluspackage, and when our prayers answered that is our bail out package for success. god bless Grenada.
