The Maurice Bishop International Airport Met Office continues to monitor Tropical Storm ERIKA which has currently dropped slightly to 16.5oN and 59.0o W of the Windward Islands. The system does not currently pose a threat to Grenada and its dependencies but because of the slight southerly drop, will be monitored closely for any further development and change of course. The system is moving at 5 mph and because of the location of the area of convection, Grenada and its dependencies may experience overcast conditions with later development of storm showers and some lightening and thunder. The Met Office will continue to give updates on the system but ERIKA does not pose a threat to Grenada at this time.
