click
From the OFFICE OF THE LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION Leader of the Opposition Dr. the Hon. Keith Mitchell has again expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of Cuba for the many ways in which they have assisted and supported Grenadians and Grenada over the years. The former Prime Minister expressed those sentiments when he was recently visited by the Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency Victoria Margarita Delgado Ramiraz. The Ambassador who returns to Cuba after a four year assignment in Grenada, says she leaves Grenada with mixed feelings; happy that she is returning home but sad that she is leaving a place that has become like home to her. In her parting words, she expressed thanks to Dr. Mitchell for his support over the years and said that Cuba will never forget the bold step he took when he visited that country some years ago. She said that visit still remains a significant and symbolic one for the Government and people of Cuba since it was responsible for the restoration of relationships between Cuba and many countries in the Caribbean. Dr Mitchell also expressed thanks to the ambassador for her support over the years and wished her the best in her future endeavors. He said she has also played a significant role in building the relationship between Grenada and Cuba over the years. He said wish is that this relationship will grow from strength to strength.

OPPOSITION LEADEEXTENDS GRATITUDE TO THE GOVERNEMNT AND...
I remember the REJECTED Prime Minister Keith Mitchell meeting Grenadians at Howard University in the 1980's and had everything bad to say about Communism. He spoke about Prime and his Communist friends and used Communism like a bad word. I also understand he protested like hell in the Washington DC. while the Cuban Communists were helping Grenada build our International Airport. He is now pretending that he likes the Cubans and meeting with them. I guess the United States kicked him to the curb. When will our old Politicians learn? The United only uses little guys like you as their stepping stone to achieve their goals. I guess Cuba generously gave Grenada assistance during the NNP's Administration. In that case the REJECTED PM was smart enough and accepted it. I thought he would have refuse the assistance from Cuba since he spoke so badly about Communism. Has he learnt something or is he just an opportunist.
