Tillman Thomas on Friday sent a message of sympathy to the government and people of St. Lucia on the death of three patients at a hospital, which was destroyed by fire. The following is the full text of the message: “Dear Prime Minister, On behalf of the Government and People of Grenada, I extend sympathy to you, your government and the people of St. Lucia on the recent fire at St. Jude’s Hospital which claimed the lives of three patients. The loss of life under any circumstance is always tragic, more so, the fact that those who died were patients at this hospital. As a member of the OECS family, we share your loss. With the high cost of medical infrastructure, we also empathise with you on the loss of this hospital facility. We pray for the comfort of the affected families, especially at this time.”
