George Prime leaves the state on Saturday, September 12th for Ottawa, Canada, where he will be attending the 6th plenary meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Forum of the Americas. The theme of the forum is Prosperity and Cooperation: a new agenda for the Americas. Secretary General of the Organization of American states His Excellency Jose Miguel Insulza, Ms. Sheryl Kennedy: Chief Executive Promotory Group and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada are among several dignitaries expected to attend the forum. The inter-parliamentary Forum of the Americas will also focus on the economic & financial crisis, food security and international migrations and human rights. Minister Prime returns on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009.
