MP FOR ST. GEORGE NW CALLS FOR WORK ON THE BEAUSEJOUR R...
click
From the Office of the Leader of the Opposition September 24th, 2009: Leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition and Parliamentary Representative for St. George’s North West, Dr. The Rt. Hon Keith Mitchell is appealing to the NDC Administration to urgently continue work on the Beausejour to upper New Hampshire road. Dr. Mitchell said although funding was approved for the completion of the road which was started under his administration, work on the road stopped since the last general elections. He described the point at which the work stopped as the most deteriorated and says it now creates a danger to road users. He also noted that since work was halted on the project, the condition of the road has deteriorated significantly and that if the Government chooses not to continue the project soon it will deteriorate further thereby increasing the overall cost of the project. According to Dr. Mitchell, his greatest concern is the fact that this feeder road serves as a very important bypass road used by farmers and the general public. The Member of Parliament believes that the completion of this road will not only create jobs for residents of New Hampshire and surrounding areas as well as provide proper roads so farmers can access their lands, but it will also help to stimulate economic activities in the country.

MP FOR ST. GEORGE NW CALLS FOR WORK ON THE BEAUSEJOUR R...
Mr THE RIGHT HON KCM sir as the MP for St.George NW Sir i applaud you for your questioning of the minister of works and again for asking this current administration when will work restart on the road you mention but sir it seems to me that you and your party is suffering from from a spate of memory lost, sir are you the same man asking this questions ,because i would like to ask you this ,why are this questions not being aired in parliment and another thing please tell me and the grenadian people why is it that your government while in power ignored the damage road leading from gouyave into pallmist (on the bay side)which have been damage for years under your previous administration and nothing was done and thats why the upper road is being used so it seems to me that your opposition party is making these statements for political gain / purpose rather than the welfare and concern of the local farmers and jobs as you put it.So come on RH DR.KCM please lets hear more of your concern in parliment then and only then we will know how sincere you are about our welfare/jobs and our people. one love grenada.
