TWO MATCHES TO BE PLAYED IN THE RIGHTSTART YOUTH FOOTBA...

28.09.09 Two matches will be played in the RightStart youth Football Tournament today. Presentation Brothers College and GBSS will battle over at the Roy St. John Playing Field from 3:00 pm and over at the Cuthbert Peters Park, St. Rose Modern Secondary will host Bishops College from 2:00 pm. These two matches will be contested in the Junior Division. Organizers of the Tournament have welcome the participation of schools from neighbouring sister isle Carriacou. In results of matches played last Friday, in Zone A, Junior Divison: St. Rose Modern Secondary and Happy Hill played to a 1-1 draw over at the Cuthbert Peters Park while the Senior Divison, Happy Hill earn a 4-2 victory. In Zone B, Mc Donald College trounced Grenville Secondary 6-0 in both the Junior and Senior matches played at the Fond Recreation Ground. While what was considered the St. David's derby resulted in a competitive score when both matches ended in a draw. Westerhall Secondary and St. David's Catholic Secondary played to a nil-nil draw in the Junior game and a 1-1 draw in the Senior's. St. John's Christian Secondary heads Zone A over defending champions St. Mark's Secondary. and Mc Donald College leads Zone B closelyfollowed by St. Andrew's Anglican Secondary. Secondary School football will be played on weekends for the first time as the Knock out competition will start this Saturday. More details forthcoming.
