GRENADA REPRESENTED AT CSME CONVOCATION  
ST.GEORGE’S, GRENADA, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9th 2009_ Grenada’s Minister for the Environment, Export Development and Foreign Trade, Hon. Michael Church, is this country’s representative to a Convocation on the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) now underway in Bridgetown, Barbados. Minister Church is representing Prime Minister Tillman Thomas at the discussions on the way forward for the Caribbean Single Market and Economy. He joins five Heads of Government from the Caribbean Community, including Hon. Baldwin Spencer, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, the Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Hon. Patrick Manning, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago and Hon. David Thompson, Prime Minister of Barbados, who are attending the conference. Prime Minister Thompson is the lead CARICOM Prime Minister for the CSME. The Convocation brings together stakeholders to consider the Report of an Audit of the implementation of the CARICOM Single Market which came into effect in 2006. The Forum will also chart the way forward for the Single Economy and will discuss the movement of CARICOM nationals across the Community and the rights they will enjoy while residing in another territory. Social Development Minister Hon. Sylvester Quarless is acting Minister for Finance while Health Minister Hon. Ann Peters is the acting Minister for the Environment.
