ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, DECEMBER 31st, 2009_ Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas has expressed condolences to the family of the late Margaret Payne, who passed away on Wednesday, 30th December, 2009. Mrs. Payne served as Attache to Prime Minister Thomas, since he assumed office in August 2008. The following is the full text of the Prime Minister’s statement. “I wish, on behalf of my family, Cabinet and the Government of Grenada, to express my deepest sympathy to you on the passing of your beloved Margaret. She was a strong, courageous and caring woman, who understood the value of life. Margaret has contributed to the development of Grenada in various ways, including serving as my Attache up until her passing. She had a selfless passion for helping people, especially those she considered vulnerable or less fortunate. She will be greatly missed. I pray for God’s comfort and direction for you at this very difficult time.”
