By Deanna Isaac Hillsborough, Carriacou, March 5th, 2010- International Women’s Day 2010 will be celebrated in Carriacou in a special event organised by the Division of Gender & Family Affairs of the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs. The Division is staging a ladies’ evening on Saturday, March 6, at John’s Unique Conference Room, starting at 6:30 pm. Vinishah Cudjoe, Coordinator of the Division of Gender & Family Affairs, said the event will be “an evening of interacting and socializing intertwined with poetry, song and a pep talk.’’ International Women’s Day, a worldwide event, is being held under this year’s theme of “Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity, Progress for All.’’
