FOOTBALL NEWS  
Hard Rock and Eagles Super Strikers played to a 1-1 draw yesterday at the Fond Playing Field to conclude Round 3 of the GFA Premier League. Both teams fought hard for a victory infront of a northern derby crowd with a number of opportunities to take the lead. Hard Rock has now scored their first point after conceding two loss in their previous two (2) matches. Eagles are on four (4) points and are cuurently ranked sixth (6th) in the Standings. Matches played in the Conferences yesterday: Morne Jaloux hammered Carenage 7-0 at the Roy St. John Playing Field in the Southern Conference. Sunjets united defeated CLASS Herb Roots 2-0 at the Cuthbert Peters Park to top the standings in the Western Conference. While both Police and Mt. Rich won by default yesterday when Combined Northerners and Belle Vue Rangers did not show for their matches. Today, Happy Hill will play Willis Youths at the Beausejopur Playing Field. FUTGOF and St. Paul's will battle over at the Roy St. John Playing Field. North Stars will host St. John's Sports at Fond and Boca Juniors will seek to earn their first win over St. Andrew's Football League at Plains. The Semi Finals of the La Borie 4 Aside Football Competition will be the centre of acticvity in the St. Paul's Community tonight. The first semi final will be played between Experience and Good Hope while the second match will feature Skill Youths and Young Guns. All four teams are boasting quality players in their lineups. The Competition has attracted much much interest among local football fans. The final and third place matches are carded for this Sunday. By Lester Smith
