salim, again you haven't read my prior postings about the cap bank fiasco.i too have lost savings from that bank.and i want those involved to be brought to justice.the privy council is still a part of grenadas system or constitution.any ruling government would have to do what is necessary to abolish that system.until then we have to live with it.about the grenada 17 release,it ironic that victims or families of victims have forgiven those involved.bishop relative forgave coard and others.for myself,i consider the matter closed.gone but not forgotten.as to treating criminals that steal,to ask them to repay the victims, that is not how we deal with criminals.most countries in the world have laws to deal with crimes, grenada no different.if we don't like the laws then we have to take that up with our mps and the government.

Guess you're right Mr. Stallion. My brain is as small and closed as your mindset. I drew inferences on the basis of the inconsistnences of our country's legal ability and authority in criminal rulings here in Grenada. It appeared as though you represent a thoughts and reasoning of the majority/masses. Firstly, is Grenada an independent or quasi-pundit nation of a group of white men who may have never visited, nor know where to find Grenada on a map? Did these old and feeble white members of the Privy Council suffer any emotional, psychological, physical, social, medical damages during the 1983 rein of terror that was engineered and carried out by Bernard Coard, Hudson Austion, Bogo, and maybe even members of your own family? I firmly believe that you and others have forgotten the victims and their surviving damaged families who are still suffering from the inhumane acts of terror these men inflicted on our people and Grenada. The Privy Council and our governement did not consider an consensus to determine how our people, especially the victims would feel about the release of the Gang of 17. Therefore, to seek such ill-thought through treatment of someone who robbed to statisfy his hunger should be treated more leniently. These guys should not be given prison terms. Rather, they should be charged with repaying those they took from monetary. If our government would judge everyone justly and without partiality, provide employment or some form of social support, then such criminal acts would not leave room for excuse. Secondly, why arenn't you as forceful for the capture and punishment of those who participated in the Cap-Bank ongoing seizure and high class robbery of the people's money---why subjective stallion, why?

so salim, you saying that we support the release of criminals.first of all, these guys were released by the privy council of london.secondly,in my view, these guys should have been hung when they were sentenced to die many years ago.but they were released after serving over 20 years in prison.whether we like it or not they served the time that was given to them.now check your brains, only a fool would compare this situation to the robberies.how could a man of your intelligence justify criminal behavior to satisfy hunger?plain and simple, these guys need to get a job.let me ask you,if i pull you up in the dark with a knife and demand your cash to satisfy my hunger so i could buy food, would you call the cops or would you pat me on the back telling me don't worry.tell me your brains is not small like peas.

Salim this GC have given us the people both home and abroad a medium to which we can air our views re issues currently taking place in our country and we owe it to the public to have a balance view and not be downright nasty because if ever you were the victim of any sort of robbery you would know how violated the victims feels. As for your take on the gang of 17 Salim it appears that you have not followed this case and is just jumping on the band waggon for if you did you would know that the grenadian government hands was tied as a result of the caribbean appeal court of justice and the appeal court of justice in london and all the other legal rangles that took place over the years, and for the record i have never and is not a supporter of the gang of 17 because in my view they should all still be in jail 4 life because thoes who have lost their love ones on this sad sad october day is still living with this dreadful memory and here you come along comparing this murderous men with the current spate of robberies taking place in our country is in my view downright nasty and it is people like you who encourages this type of criminal behaviour and that there is no place in our society for this type of behaviour and i find your comments dis-respectful to our people and down right nasty.

Stallion and gable, since you guys support the release of those who commit barbaric and heineous acts against law abiding citizens, what so strange and unacceptable of a person stealing from the other to satisfy their hunger? If you support the release and light sentences of those who murderous crimes against humanity and law abiding citizens, why is it so difficult for you to accept my views on those who steal? You two are just a bunch of hypocrits. The release and light sentences of those who kill other human beings send a negative message, not a deterence. It actually says "Kill a man and you can expect to be out of prison in a year" This is not a deterrence to criminal acts. You two are just like our corrupt government officials. Thank God you're not a member of parliament.
