ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Tuesday, December 14, 2010: At the 68th meeting on 22 October 2010, the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) agreed that there should be a regional launch of the Rebased National Accounts and Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the member countries. In this regard, a Launch will take place on Wednesday December 15th 2010 (tomorrow) via video conferencing, at 7:00 pm, at the local ECCB offices in the respective countries. In the case of Grenada, the local ECCB Office is located in the Financial Complex compound (Ministry of Finance), the Carenage, St. George’s. During the Launch, there will be introductory remarks by the Governor of the ECCB and the Chairman of the Monetary Council. In addition, there will be presentations on the rebased national accounts and CPI series. The presentations will focus mainly on the revisions made to the series, the results and highlights of the new series, and its impact on critical macro economic variables. From Ministry of Finance
