Hillsborough, Carriacou, December 22, 2010- A day of “satisfaction and achievement’’ for the government were the words of Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas at the official opening of the Top Hill/Belair Road. The Prime Minister, along with the Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Senator George Prime, cut the ribbon to signal the opening of the over 3000 ft of road. Hon. Thomas said he is happy that government has been able to make life more comfortable for the people of Top Hill, Mt. Royal and surrounding areas. For years villagers of Top Hill and Mt. Royal have been crying out for repairs to the road, which connects to the Princess Royal Hospital. “It was a long time in coming and now that is a reality I am very happy,” was the sentiments expressed by Lorna Montrose, a villager of Top Hill who gave the government high praise. It was a happy moment also for Sen. Prime who has seen the project through to its completion, despite some setbacks while work was progressing. He applauded the two contractors, Karl Benjamin and Simon Lendore, and their team for the standard of work done. By Deanna Isaac Carriacou

Gabe, I think it's about time you stop and think. Please read my comment regarding Alleyne Walker carefully. It's my recommendation that Alleyne Walker should take heed and learn from Senator Prime. I applaud Senator Prime for the working and service is doing for his constituent and recommend that Alleyne Walker--your brother learn a few lessons from the hardworking Senator Prime. PLease read my comments before you start drawing conclusions. I hope 2011 would not catch you being so bias and subjective in your thoughts.

Bro. Salim i have read your posting re the above and i must say that i do agree with you and it is so good to see a minister doing it for his parish and all the people who voted be it for him or against him thats what it is all about but then you mention this guy Allyene Walker quoting i hope he Walker learns because someday he may hope to be in the minister shoe and then i stop to think is this not the same minister Allyene Walker you were slagging off sometime ago saying how useless he was ,please correct me if i am wrong.

Senator George Prime, kudos to you for a job well done. It appears as though you're the only hardworking politician on the tri-island state. I think you're doing wonders for your constituents---seems like your intrnational experience is pay off for the people of Carriacou and Petit Martnigue. We need more like you, Senator Prime. TIllman Thomas may cut the ribbon with you in the background, but let it be known that you're the one in the field. You're the one who is doing the ground work on behalf of the people. May our Lord bless and keep you---you have surely demonstrated consistency in your performances. I hope Allene Walker would one day walk in your shoes.
