The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) wishes to notify the general public that a number of counterfeited hundred dollar US notes (US $100.00) are currently in circulation. The notes bear the serial numbers: HL66037721B, AE62013437AB4, EC74795107HJ5, DH68421953AC3, AF02819967EH6, BA44106176AH1, BC41367157CF6, AL63072121B12, CA44105825CA1, DH75620488AH2, DA78501840AA, HF08733861LB6, D18342115EC2, HL66037721BC8 These notes are most prevalent in the St. George’s area but can spread throughout the State by the movement of persons. Business owners, Small operators, Bus Drivers and Conductors, and the wider public are reminded to be vigilant of persons trying to use them to change such bills, trying to do business with such bills or in any way possess or reproduce such bills. The Royal Grenada Police Force will like to remind all and sundry that it is a Criminal Offence to produce, possess or conduct any business transaction with Counterfeit Currency. The offence carries a maximum sentence of between five to seven years in prison. Persons who are in possession or know of anyone who is in possession or have been a victim of Counterfeiting should get in contact with the nearest Police Station and or contact Criminal Investigation Department on phone numbers 440 3921 or the Financial Investigation Unit on 435 2373.
