The Value Added Tax (VAT) Unit of the Inland Revenue Division, Ministry of Finance, will like to inform VAT registered businesses and the general public, that the concessionary rate of 7.5% VAT on the building materials indicated hereunder (which was due to expire on December 31st 2011) has been extended to March 9th, 2012. At that time the Minister of Finance will present the 2012 Budget and indicate what changes if any, shall be put into effect.
· Lumber (wood and ply)
· Building cement (use for mixing mortar and does not include any other cement such as those used for laying tiles.
· Metal roofing (galvanize, aluzinc and Aluminum sheets and other similar metal sheets used for roofing and does not include roofing accessories such as ridging, nails, clips etc. which are used to install the roof)
· Steel Rods (does not include wire mesh such as BRC wire)
The Ministry of Finance encourages businesses to pass on the benefits of the reduced VAT rate to consumers. Consumers are urged to be vigilant and monitor the anticipated price reduction for the above mentioned items and to take advantage of the concessionary rates while it lasts.
The general public is also encouraged to report any incidence of discrepancies to the VAT Unit at hotline 435-9085 or 435-6945/46.

I really like this: If you don't want them to understand something, then put it in Black and White. Force their asses to learn to read. However, I am going to deviate some here because we have got to do better. I was and am still in awe to see how Grenadians have come out in droves to support the wife and family of the murdered Oscar Bartholomew. My question now is this: What's it that motivated the people to come out in such great numbers to demonstrate against the behaviors and attacks from members of the RGPF? Were they acting out morally and ethically, or strictly on the basis of emotion? Were these people really conscientious of what they're demonstrating for and against?
