BISHOP'S COLLEGE RECEIVE REGIONAL AWARD
2012- A positive start to the school term for the staff and students of Bishop’s College. Mentors at the educational institution placed second among 45 secondary schools in the Pearson Class of the Year 2011 competition- the first of its kind in the Caribbean. The competition organized by Pearson, the world’s leading learning company- sought to find an outstanding class or school, whose achievements told an inspiring story that others could learn from. Over 250 entries were submitted from four Caribbean countries Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad and Barbados. Director of the Mentorship program which was established in October 2009, Nadina Williams is elated and said this has motivated the students to give more of themselves. Principal Rholda Quamina was all smiles as she addressed the mentors on their achievements noting that it is a proud day for the institution, receiving the award on the first day of the new school term. Kingsley Alexander, Sales and Marketing Representative for Pearson in Grenada in congratulating the school noted that his organization believes in learning not only in the classroom but beyond. The Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs led by Senator the Hon. George Prime congratulates Bishop’s College on such an outstanding achievement.
