2012 BUDGET “REALISTIC, POSITIVE AND FAIR”, PRIME MINIS...
Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas today described the historic 2012 budget as “realistic, positive and fair” and a “fair account to the Grenadian people”. In giving his support to the one billion dollar budget, the Prime Minister said the package, provided “foresight and vision” by putting the people first. He said it laid the foundation for Grenada’s economic development. “We are going in a positive direction, we are on the path of recovery. That is why we need the cooperation of all stake holders,” the Prime Minister told Parliament in a wide ranging review of areas under is responsibility. He said his government’s approach to the “new economy is not about borrowing or begging. It is about PRODUCING OUR WAY OUT of poverty.” “The new economy represents the very essence of our determination to make Grenada a qualitatively better place for all. Unless our economy begins to produce at highly efficient and competitive levels, Grenada will struggle to fulfill its great promise as an independent nation,” the Prime Minister declared. The Prime Minister welcomed the government’s investment in the development of Grenada’s Human Resource through initiatives in education, including the free school books programme, scholarships and financial support to students. He point out that EC $146,880 were reimbursed to students who passed more than 8 subjects at ‘O’ Level in 2010. In addressing the Taiwan debt situation, the Grenadian leader told Parliament that “negligence” on the part of the former New National Party (NNP) administration, resulted in Grenada being saddled with the current burden. “If there were no judgments, there would have been room for negotiations and rescheduling,” he told the House of Representatives. Grenada continues to utilise diplomatic and legal channels to address the Taiwan debt situation.

2012 BUDGET “REALISTIC, POSITIVE AND FAIR”, PRIME MINIS...
NNP Religious Minister Garraway, I am very dumbfounded with your response and critism to PM Thomaas' 2012 budget. You should be ashame to categorize or attempt to malise the PM. I wish to caution you to please be aware that you don't speak for the Grenadian masses. You represent the NNP and Baptist Minister Winston Garraway. The PM passes a 2012 budget. As much as you might disagree which you have a choice to do, I beckon you to stop your political assassination of our leader. It's people like you that have unfortunately forced him to release and employ members of Gabg 17. It's your self-centered and self-serving political interest that would continue to haunt the forward leap of Grenada. We've got to ensure the church and state are purely maintained separately. Thus, we have got to keep you out of the political arena.

Brother Tom please go and have a lay down because it seems that you are not too well and while you are laying down maybe you can get someone to call 911 and the men and women in white coats to come see what is wrong with you because it appears that you are suffering from some serious malfunctioning of the mind system,so have a lay down and dont think too much and if that dont work please get rid of the witch (the BLACKBERRY).

Good morning Pastor welcome on board your comment on the Prie Minister commenting on the budget but pastor are you commenting on the budget as the official PR officer of the opposition party or as a concern Grenadian, and if it is that your comment is based from the official line of the opposition then can you tell us what is your party version of a budget for sustainable growth considering the current state of the world economic situation. thank you one love.

To make such a pronouncement about the worst Budget ever presented to parliament shows that our Prime Minister is either very shallow and lack basic knowledge about the process of budget and budget finances or is another desperate attempt to hoodwink the Grenadian masses.
