TOURISM MINISTER PETER DAVID RESIGNS FROM CABINET!
Vid#1 Vid#2
Grenada's Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture Minister Peter David has tendered his resignation from the cabinet of Prime Minister Tillman Thomas. “I was pushed into having to take this decision after the Prime Minister refused to accept the proposal that the Minister of Information retract public comments that sought to bring the party and government into disrepute,’’ David said in a statement to the reporters following the submission of his letter of resignation. “Many people have seen the online video where incendiary and unbecoming comments, almost bordering on slander were leveled against me and other cabinet colleagues,’’ he added. In the video, Information Minister Noel – a former chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress – alleges that David and others had conspired to control the executive of the party with the aim of removing Thomas as leader of the National Democratic Congress. Other conspirators, according Noel, include Labour Minister Glynis Roberts; Social Development Minister Sylvester Quarless; former Minister of Works, Joseph Gilbert; and former senator and interim leader of the NDC, businessman Jerome Joseph. “The record is there to show that, in spite of repeated provocations and a well-orchestrated smear campaign against my name, until now I have said nothing publicly on the issues at hand,’’ David told the media. “However within the last week the situation became untenable with the publication of the comments by the Minister that was made in the presence of Prime Minister Tillman Thomas and Minister of Finance Nazim Burke. Given their presence, and their subsequent stance Monday when the issue was brought up, it is now clearer that the comments were made with their tacit approval.’’ Source: Lincoln Depradine http://www.whatsupcaribbean.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4979:tourism-minister-peter-david-resigns-from-cabinet&catid=40:news&Itemid=27

TOURISM MINISTER PETER DAVID RESIGNS FROM CABINET!

Hon.Mr Peter David sir i have been a long time supporter of yours because of the way in which you stood your grounds when you first won that seat and the then NNP Government was questioning your right to hold such seat because off they claim your dual nationality and the way in which you fought your ground and won over the accusers ,the rest is history as we now know you fought the 2008 election again under the banner of the NDC and your party was given a massive mandate by the people of grenada and her tri-islands states to carry the job/task of rebuilding our country as a united party and as in any family there will always be thoes who will agree and thoes who will not fully agree but the bottom line is that respect should still be shown in Government and the need for unity should always be paramount because anything else and the people /the voters expects that our ministers who have been elected to serve and behave in a manner that which is becoming a minister of Government but sir over the past two years there has been times when some ministers within Government behaves with total disrespect shown to their Leader the Prime Minister and the country and some even gives the impression that the party in Government is the NNP and not the NDC for the unprofessional way in which political business was sometimes conducted especially between some so called gang of four and their supporters and that is not the way ministers should be behaving in and out of Government and it seems to me that in this case there is no smoke without fire and i therefore called upon these so call ministers to please remember that you are responsible to the voters who has entrust you all with their votes to behave and act in the interest of all the people of our country and not for your own political gains at the expense of party unity. one love.

It has become clear that the present government ministers of the NDC party is incompetent, dishonest and corrupt ,in relation to its accountability and other processes to the people of grenada. The resignation of Hon, Peter David is just another link of the chain missing making it weaker. Then there goes minister Glen Noel showing his camouflage colours, demons in disguise sitting in parliament who do not deserve to hold these prestigious position and be in power. I can now see the grenadian people are pissed off because their lives have not got better, and to add insult to injury NDC ministers give all kind of excuses. In conclusion let me say government matters must be handled with dignity and decorously,it must not be turned into a public spectacle lest it deters even more good people from entering politics. NDC remember the world at large is watching you leadership, and gone are the days of PAPPYSHOW!!!

Imagine this Noel guy is a Minister! He has no class, this is what you call a real Moran. This is very unprofessional behaviour. And these are the people that we have given power and authority to make decisions for our country. The whole thing just looks disgusting. Whether it's ture or not, the situation should have been handled differently.

I said this a long time ago. Our people of color have a problem. We cannot govern, we cannot rule and we cannot unite as one. I would have tried my best to come to some agreement in my party within the house instead of bringing all this nonsense outside and making my party members look foolish, but Peter David was from the Bishop regime and was always a true communist. Communism is gone, done and over Peter David. The days of the khmer rouge are over and they are not coming back any more, and let me tell you the United States will never let that happen again in this part of the world. Strange enough all of you that were for communism are in the United States now living and working, but you did not want to do it here for your own country. We still don't want any casinos in Grenada and this is what it's all about, ain't it boy? Anyway its no surprise we knew he Peter David was the Judas in the group and now his true colors has come out. Now he will form his own party but he won't get anyone to vote for him because we know what the boy stood for from the get go. He is not in it for Grenada, he is in it for himself and his own goal, POWER and GREED. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
