PRIME MINISTER INFORMED OF MINISTER’S RESIGNATION
ST.GEORGE, GRENADA, APRIL 30, 2012_Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas has been informed of the resignation of the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Hon Peter David, from the government. While this did not come as a surprise, the Prime Minister is undeterred in his resolve to continue his government’s policies, aimed at continuing to build a foundation for genuine prosperity in the longer term, with a more immediate need for the creation of jobs. Prime Minister Thomas is of the view that upon taking office, ministers would have acted diligently to promote the interests of the people of Grenada. “The government has set the platform for our economic transformation and we are just beginning to see the benefits of our policies. My focus remains on the implementation of the government’s development agenda,” the Prime Minister said. “Our success at the last general election came as a result of the trust the Grenadian people placed in us and our message for development. As Prime Minister I am still committed to that message and the promise we made to discharge our duties in a fair and even handed manner. The business of government continues as we seek to improve the lives of every Grenadian man, woman and child,” the Prime Minister added. The Prime Minister has expressed his appreciation to Mr. David for his service during his period in Cabinet.

The NDC and Grenada as a whole will surely do much better without tose good-for-nothing who are hiding behind the Party's manifesto while having their own agenda. Those jokers couldn't show their true colours before the last election because it couldn't hold up anywhere. I hope the others (if there are any) have the sense to get to hell out before being kicked out. The sooner the better. Grenada may God bless you.

I am 100 with the Prime Minister. If you want to leave and you cannot support the Prime Minister who is the head of the goverment, then get to hell out. This is all about Grenada and whats best for Grenada and Genada's values, it is not about you and what you want and what you feel. Its about what's best for the people of Grenada and Grenada

Good morning Paster Garraway as the spokeperson for the opposition party/parties it is my view that what the Prime Minister said was correct in that he was receiving the resignation of the Minister Mr Peter David and what he the PM was doing was cascading that very said information to Government and the general public so your point is,Pastor if there is anything to be said about this whole situation it is that this minister and his so called gang of four should have been kicked out of the NDC a long time ago for the disloyality and the disrespect that they and politicans like them have shown to the Prime Minister and the people of Grenada /oath/pledge that they have swone to uphold when they took office as ministers of the people to serve all the people without their own personell agenda of power which has been a constant poison within some caribbean government ministers of all colours (POWER HUNGRY)and which can result in the hinderance of progression within small countries like Grenada simply because of their own political ambitions of some of these so called politicians and it is about high time we as voters see these political prospectors for what they really are (sheep in wolf clothings) and we should mark them out come the next election for they are only there for their own political agendas and once they get into power they then show their true colour which is no different from that of Bernard Coard and that is why the PM was correct to accept the resignation of Peter David and any one else who steps out of line with their behaviour and the respected code of conduct of office while in government. one love.
