PRIME MINISTER CALLS FOR A CHANGE IN THE IMAGE OF POLIT...
Grenadian politicians must work to change the image of politics in the country. Prime Minister Tillman Thomas made the call on Sunday, at the Grenville Car-park in St. Andrew, as he addressed a thanksgiving rally, which celebrated his government’s victory over a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister, by the Opposition Leader. “When politicians do not live up to high standards, the people become skeptical and come to distrust politics and politicians. There should never be one standard for the politicians and a different one for the rest of society. Politics should not be viewed as a bad thing. As leaders, we should strive to change this perception,” the Prime Minister told an enthusiastic and emotional audience. The Grenadian leader said his government will continue to work toward reducing corruption, respecting the rule of law, practice good governance, be inclusive, protect the environment and heritage of Grenada and restore Grenada’s integrity. “Together, we must continue to build a decent society in which governance is characterized by integrity, where the interest of our people is paramount. But as Prime Minister, I am held accountable for the performance of my Government. Therefore, I am obligated to act. I took an Oath and I am not going to betray my people's mandate,” the Prime Minister said. In commenting on Grenada’s relations with the international community, the Prime Minister, who is also Grenada’s Minister for Foreign Affairs said that the country has the scars to show for “flirting with a certain ideology”. “I am convinced that Grenada's Foreign Policy must be based on common sense and the promotion of our national interest. We have a unique history and have paid a massive price for flirting with a certain ideology in the past. Our Grenadian people are now more aware and will not be led down the wrong road.” “We will promote relations that are in Grenada’s best interest. That, for me , is a sensible and responsible Foreign Policy,” he added. The Grenadian leader committed to promoting and protecting the shared interest within the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and CARICOM and to seek to develop and strengthen bilateral ties with the countries of Latin America.

PRIME MINISTER CALLS FOR A CHANGE IN THE IMAGE OF POLIT...

Gabe I agree with what you wrote at the end, politicians ought always be mindful that their utterances has the potential to hurt the country badly, equally so is instability in government. The NDC is largely to blame for some of our economic woes. The public fighting between Hon Tillman Thomas and his ministers of Government is hurting the entire country. I have no brief for the NDC but its members are Grenadians with families who depend on the income to survive. I want to believe you will agree with me Gabe, that it could never be right for Hon Tillman Thomas to sanction the firing of 18 members of his party, because he perceive they are supporting what the party says. Go check it out for yourself, it is very hard for me to accept your writing about the PM when he agrees to the victimizing of members of his own party. His opponents have to be aware of him.

Dear Pastor may i take this time to say to you and thoes who is still questioning the substance of the RH Tillman Thomas should stand back and take a good look at the man for i sincerly do believe that the HON. Tillman Thomas is a law abiding and decent man and will never advocate violence, political or otherwise to or against anyone knowing that he himself was the victim of violence during that terrible period when he was imprisoned for his political stance by the Coard butchers, and therefore i do not think it is right for you to compare him to some of the comments made/coming from some of the low life ministers for they should know better and therefore he should not be tarred with the same brush. Pastor here in Grenada some of our politicans past and present behaves with total disregard for the position that they hold in politics when one listen to some of the language coming out of their mouth knowing the result and impact it will have on persons / business both here at home and abroad.

Some time I wander why we allow politics to cause us to attack the beauty that we as Grenadians have been characterized by for many years:worm and friendly. Imaging the Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas asking for a change in the image of politics in Grenada and he and his team or side of the NDC continue to perpetuate lies and advocate violence against their opponents. Last Sunday July 8 at his rally in Gouyave, minister of Health Ann Peters shared a blatant lie on the podium - there was fighting in the NNP convention. And while he had access to the truth, for she said the police had to stop the fighting which ensued after Mr. Steel was nominated for the post of deputy Political Leader. He is minister of National Security. He did not ask her to retract her statements, therefore he supported the lie. While this was going on his head of the Private Sector development desk was roughing up a senior journalist. The time has come for the PM to be sincere with the statements he makes. Its high time that he backs them up with actions.

I am again addressing my comments to one of the person who calls himself "GABE" First, I find my work really rewarding and I feel blessed to do it. I have been writing for the last twenty-one years, I have written for every news paper in Grenada, also local Magazines. A woman who takes no crap, and part introspective soulsearcher looking for the greater good in myself and others, morally and creatively. Honestly If you are referring to yourself as that robot, that's your problem. No one can tell me what , when, why, how to write. I will continue to support the New national party and i will continue to speak out against abuse and any kind of intimidation and be the best i can be. As I said this is bigger than me. I will not stop until the NNP succeeds in the next Upcoming general elections. Believe this, The New national party will Emerge victorious, taking every seat. I will continue to repeat it. After the Grenada General Elections are held, you will ask ,"How the hell did she know that? I will remind you. I am not afraid to take on the political establishment and stand up for what's right.

I am addressing my comments to "Little Thing and Gabe" You two have the greatest ability to distort the TRUTH, especially you small thing. You are a DISGRACED COWARD. This is bigger than me. I am quite comfortable speaking out about what's happening to my Grenadian people. I hold my head high, and put it all on the line for my people and my country. I will continue to speak out against any kind of Intimidation and Abuse, and be the best I can be, not necessarily better than you two. The two of you are those who sees the glass half-empty. I see it as Half full. Two Cowards who would not use their true identity.LOL

Dear Pastor please dont worry too much for i believe that the imposter is Gill for the way in which he keeps putting out stories that is untrue or not cleared by his Boss but dont worry he Gill days as a politican is numbered because as he aspire to thread on others to get where is wants to go he should be warned that they who uses the backs of others to get to the top will someday find themselves without friends and all alone for this is not the first time that he has put his foot in it for it seems that he is suffering from FOOT and MOUTH.
