Minister for Works Senator Dennoth Modeste paid his first official visit to Carriacou; since assuming the post in October 2011. Minister Modeste along with Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs Senator George Prime visited a number of road projects that are currently in progress on the island. These included the Belair/Belvedere and Harvey Vale Back road projects. He said he is satisfied that government can fulfill its mandate of improving the road network on the island; as it plays a critical role in the developmental process. Minister Prime lauded the Public Works Division for their execution and supervision of the projects. The Belair/Belvedere and Harvey Vale Back road projects which commenced in 2011 are nearing completion.
