Students were required to conduct research on the subject surrounding road safety, after which they were required to put together their thoughts in the form of an essay. They were required to write on the topic “Making a difference through Safe Road Usage; Saving Lives and Property.” A total of nine (9) schools participated in the Road Safety Essay Writing Competition which resulted in an overall total of seventy nine (79) submissions. The Road Safety Essay Writing Competition represents one of many activities which was organized by the Royal Grenada Police Force in its observance of the United Nations International Road Safety Week. The prize giving ceremony for the winners of the essay writing competition was held at the Grenada National Stadium on Monday 2nd of July 2012 at 2:00pm.
