Police is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, whose body was recovered some 75 feet off the waters on the Carenage, St. George at the weekend. Police was alerted to a floating body after it was spotted by a guest at a nearby restaurant just after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday 16th September, 2012. The man said to be in his early fifties has been identified as Dunbar Alexander, a frequenter of the town of St. George with no fixed place of abode. Alexander is reportedly originally from Beaton, St. David. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be performed.
