STATEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER
ST. GEORGE, GRENADA, 9th OCTOBER, 2012_The Prime Minister is utterly dismayed at the reckless, disturbing and irresponsible remarks made by the Leader of the Opposition during NNP’s rally last Sunday, touching upon the development of bilateral relations with Qatar. The public will recall that the Prime Minister in his address to the Nation on August 2, 2012, told citizens that he had been invited to pay a visit to Qatar. He intimated his expectation that such a visit held the potential for assistance to Grenada to meet its development needs. That was the extent of his treatment of the matter. Since then, no other public statement has been made by the Prime Minister, or any other member of the Government, that would support the words used and the intention disclosed by Dr Mitchell at his party’s rally. The Prime Minister is of the view that the comments made by the Leader of the Opposition, driven by a narrow political interest, may well have been deliberately intended to compromise the success of the mission. In this respect, Dr Mitchell’s utterances, to the entire world, can only be described as highly un-statesmanlike and downright unpatriotic.

Bro Stallion nuff respect to you and if in the past i have question your thinking let it be on record that i gabe will always be looking for your input and your contribution on this forum/debates as to where we see our country heading and thoes politicans who their own with vested interest and who is forever doing or saying things hell bent on taking our country and our people deeper into the mess of political dis-order as was displayed by the leader of the opposition recently at the NNP rally and bro it all goes to show the bar room mentality/methods of this man and his supporters with little regards to the democratic process and good governance of our country and we will be in even deeper political mess were he and his party let alone Peter David and his bunch of turn tails to ever rule our country again and god help us were they to have anything to do with running our country again.

i agree with you prime minister.one must realize that there can be only one leader at a time.dr.mitchell must put politics aside and come together with any project that can benefit our island.this is very disappointing from the opposition.any time one plays politics with things that can benefit our country its not a good sign.mr.mitchell,i usually support you when you hold the prime minister responsible for his failed promises, but not this time.you are way off-side.
