CARIBBEAN ATHLETES PERFORM WELL IN U.S.  
FAYETTEVILLE, USA: Trinidadian Daryl Brown showed good form in winning the 60 metres event at the Tyson Foods Invitational indoor meet in Fayetteville, USA last weekend. His winning time was 6.59 seconds. The 19-year-old Brown was one of several Caribbean athletes who performed creditably in the meet. Another Trinidadian, Fana Ashby, won the women's 60 metres in 7.30 seconds. Leevan Sands of the Bahamas took the men's triple jump gold medal with a distance of 17.02 metres. Competing in the men's 400 metres, Grenadian Alleyne Francique won the event in 45.90 seconds.
