INTERNATIONAL CRICKET RETURNS TO GRENADA
Grenada's National Stadium will host international cricket for the first time in four years when Zimbabwe tour the Caribbean next year. The West Indies Cricket Board confirmed this week that the West Indies will resume Test cricket with the embattled African nation, with a month-long series that includes two Test matches, three One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 Internationals. In a tour that runs from February 20 to March 20, Grenada will host all three ODIs, while the T20 doubleheader is scheduled for Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua. The two Test matches will be played at Kensington Oval in Barbados and Windsor Park in Dominica. Grenada's National Stadium last hosted international cricket when West Indies entertained Bangladesh in the second Test of the controversial tour three years ago. The tour will also see West Indies facing Zimbabwe in Tests for the first time in nine years, though they played each other in a limited overs series in the Caribbean in 2010. Tour schedule: Feb 22: 1st ODI at Grenada National Stadium Feb 24: 2nd ODI at Grenada National Stadium Feb 26: 3rd ODI at Grenada National Stadium Mar. 2: 1st T20 at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground, Antigua Mar. 3: 2nd T20 at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground, Antigua Mar. 12: 1st Test at Kensington Oval, Barbados Mar. 20: 2nd Test at Windsor Park, Dominica.
