MEDIATION LOGO COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS  
The Mediation Administrative Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development is inviting students of all Secondary Schools, Programme for Adolescent Mothers (PAM) and New Life Organization (NEWLO) to participate in a Logo competition. This competition forms part of a series of activities planned by the Mediation Administrative Committee as it continues efforts to increase awareness of mediation as an alternative for dispute resolution. The theme of the Logo Competition is “Mediation: Conflict Resolution for Modern Society’’. Students should grasp the opportunity to explore their imaginative and artistic skills to create a logo that depicts the theme. The guidelines and entry form for this Logo competition are attached. Each school must submit their entries to Mrs. Lisa Francis, Art Supervisor, Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development by 18th January, 2013. The Ministry is kindly requesting the assistance of all principals and teachers in encouraging students to participate in this creative venture. Monetary prizes will be awarded to students placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd with Art and Craft hamper for the Winning School. Students can use a variety of media and colours, with logo done on white Bristol board 11’’x 17’’. Only one entry per artist will be accepted. Entries will be judged on creativity, relevance to theme, quality of presentation (layout\design) and originality. School entries must be submitted in a Bristol board folder with the name of the school and the number of entries, marked clearly on the front of the folder. The winning entries will become the permanent logo for the Court Connected Meditation Centre, featuring on letterheads, Websites, brochures and all of the Centre’s publicity material.
