NNP HOLDS SUCCESSFUL RETREAT
Executive members and senior officials of the New National Party say they are committed to continue the process of strengthening the party, recognizing that the ruling National Democratic Congress assumed office with a small margin of only one thousand eight hundred votes. Contrary to reports from elements closely associated with the NDC, about the purpose of the meeting, last Saturday’s retreat discussed important matters relating to the role of the party in Opposition and the strengthening of the party to better serve the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique when called upon by the electorates. The opposition believes that the report was generated from the NDC camp and is aimed at hiding the current leadership crisis existing in the NDC, and the known leadership struggle which exist among four senior members of the NDC. It appears to us that the report was also written before the meeting was held, similar to an article published by the president of the Media Workers Association describing the swearing in ceremony of the new Governor General as a success, days before the event occurred. Executive members of the NNP say they will not be distracted by the usual propaganda which is mainly responsible for the NDC assuming the leadership of the country on July 8th, and pledge to continue to forge ahead as a united team always ready and committed to the development of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. NNP is dead. No more NNP, no more Keith Mitchel. What Papa Doc has done for Haiti is the same Mitchel has done for Grenada. You know those two actually look alike. Ah wonder if dey eh related??
