GOVERNMENT DELGATION MEETS WITH GBL AND TAWU
St. George's, Grenada; Thursday 12th January, 2012_Prime Minister Tillman Thomas today headed a three member Ministerial team in meetings with representatives of the Grenada Breweries Limited and the Technical and Allied Workers Union. The two separate meetings are designed to bridge the gap between the two parties in the ongoing industrial impasse at the Grenada Breweries. This morning GBL representatives, including Chairman Andrew Sabga, Dr. Partrick Antoine, Ron Antoine – General Manager of the Grenada Breweries and lawyer Deighton Mitchell, met with the Prime Minister, Minster for Finance Nazim Burke and Minister of State with responsibility for Information and Mobilisation, Senator Glen Noel. “The meeting was substantive, cordial and respectful. The Breweries delegation thanked the Prime Minister for his invitation and welcomed his involvement in the process,” said Sen. Noel. This afternoon the Prime Minister and his team met with TAWU representatives, including President General Senator Chester Humphrey, Bert Patterson, Andre Lewis, Trevor Xavier and shop stewards of the union at the breweries. The Prime Minister welcomed the TAWU delegation and outlined his administration’s position on the impasse.

Stallion, I am sorry but I can't continue to excuse your ignorance. I firmly believe you need to step out of your box, smell the coffee and get in with reality. I am not disappointed that many of our people, including you have not been able to draw association, co-relationship between the release and employment of the Gang 17 and that of our PM Thomas/NDC administration and refusal to intervene in and object to the British Privy Council's ruling. At the same time, how can a democratically elected government employed those who committed the most heineous criminal acts against the state and it people, be employed by a government of an independent state... would tell me the leader of the government did not play a role in their release. As must as I pity you, I can't excuse your blatant ignorance. There's much more to be siphoned off than meet the eyes. Stallion, my allegation is simple LOGICS, if you know what that means! NDC employed members of Gang 17 immediately following their release from prison. Therefore, it can be assumed that the NDC government played an integral role and supported the release of the Gang 17.

Stallion, I am very pleased to see you're taking me on the challenge. May be if they'd listen to you and prove me wrong, I will be more than willing to shut up. Stallion, I am a voice of social change. I am a voice of justice for the oppressed. For you of all persons to defend and support the hiring of the members of the Gang of 17 is not surprising. You sure reminded me of the field and kitchen slaves. The miseducation of the black man has surely showed up in you. You're nothing but a puppet of the Privy Council and a victim of the making of a slave. No prudent and well read person would tell me that Tillman Thomas had no influence or say in the release and employment of the Gang 17. Something is clearly wrong with you. It seems like your job depends on your support for the NDC. Any right thinking Grenada should be able to analyze the release and employment of members of the Gang 17 and draw conclusions as to Tillman Thomas's role. Any right thinking law abiding Grenadian should know this.
