ANOTHER GOVERNMENT MINISTER RESIGNS
Environment Minister Glynis Roberts on Thursday submitted her resignation to Governor General Sir Carlyle Glean. This is the latest resignation to hit Prime Minister Tillman Thomas’s ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government since April, following those of Tourism Minister Peter David and Foreign Minister Karl Hood. In a statement accepting Roberts's resignation as environment and foreign trade minister, PM Thomas offered no reason for her decision to quit but extended best wishes to the former minister. The Prime Minister has been under pressure for weeks with a no-confidence motion tabled in Parliament against him by Hood. Earlier this week Thomas requested the Governor General to prorogue Parliament, effectively causing the motion to be dropped from Parliament's Order Paper whenever the sittings resume. Roberts previously served as Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation; Minister of Labour and Ecclesiastic Affairs and Minister of Social Development. She is Member of Parliament for the constituency of St. George South. Explaining her decision to a local journalist, Roberts reportedly said her decision wasn't influenced by any of the backbenchers in Parliament. With general elections constitutionally due in Grenada by July of next year, political observers are following these events keenly.

so bro.gabe, isn't it a democratic right for members of parliament to quit a party that is not moving the country forward?i agree with all the ministers that quit.i am quite sure it was discussed that it was time to dissolve parliamnet.but the prime minister continues to hang onto the power that he thinks he has.bro.gabe,i know that you have supported the prime minister day in and day out,but the fact of the matter is he has not performed well and has not lived up to expectations.it is high time the people of grenada have their say.they may choose to give the prime minister another term to continue the mandate or put someone else in there.anyhow you look at the picture, the country is not moving forward.the prime minister need to do the right thing and call an election asap.

This is for thoes who will say to the RH Tillman Thomas prime Minister of Grenada we told you so and we could have seen all this coming from these spineless political prospecters these gutless so called politicians who is power hungry and want to get their hands on the mantle of running Grenada and taking it back to the bad old days of the slave masters and the slaves for it shows that in all their recent moves/behaviour where their political interest are and it is in the gutter, for these renegrades were given the chance to advance our country after the way in which grenada was being run in the bad old days under the last money in me pocket government of Mitchell and his passport for sale brigade and it now appears that we have not lean anything for glynis, david, church, gill,Hood and the other pirates is hell bent on destroying our beautiful grenada with their political mentality of greed and i will repeat again that these want away ministers are not to be trusted to run our country because it is now quite evident that they have been planning such a move for some time while pretending to be united behind the PM i say this because it is not the same Glenis and some of the so called back benchers who went against the pm and attended that so called celebration rally again is it not the same woman who recently came back from a conference abroad about climate change on behalf of our country and then said what we as a people should do with reference to climate change and all the while she was a sheep in wolf clothing was she and the other woring for the party or on a mission of fact finding on behalf of their intended party and that is why i say these people are traitors to their country and their political party for they are behaving like political hungry mad dogs you simply put some meat in front of them and they will tear each other to see who gets the biggest share, and thats why i say in gods name when will our politicans learn that we the people /voters is not a football to be kick around ,when oh when will they learn that our people want to move forward without having our hand tied behind our backs, for we want to be free from all this erratic political party jumping behaviours that is currently taking place in our counrty, and it goes to show brothers and sisters that these renegrades ministers is behaving in no different in the way that butcher Bernard Coard and his gang had behave towards our deceased brother Bishop except without blood and here our people should be reminded how POWER HUNGRY Coard was and the result is now history and here we have to remind ourselves that Glynis,David,Church,Gill,Hood, knows what they are doing and they are as guilty in their actions as was Caord and his hench men and their behavious is a prelude of things to come from these bunch of disgraceful ungrenadian undemocratic loosers. one love
