Tuesday 22nd March 2011: St. George’s business woman Mrs. Alexandra Otway Noel has stated that she will not be engaging in any dirty campaigning. Mrs. Otway Noel made the statement as she spoke to party supporters of the New National Party at the party’s 25th Annual Convention held at the St Andrew Anglican Secondary School on Sunday.

Otway Noel who is the daughter of well respected St George businessman William ‘Sleepy’ Otway former manager of LIAT’s Grenada operations was announced as the Team Leader of the New National Party in the South St George Constituency by Political Leader Dr. Keith Mitchell on Sunday.

In her maiden address to the delegates and observers of the New National Party Noel stated that when she saw the way in which Grenadians with valuable contributions to make to national development were being sidelined and marginalized by the present government due to their lack of foresight which has cost the nation jobs, investment and access to a world of experience. She also mentioned the government’s poor management, lack of direction and pure mismanagement.

Noel who has worked with youth in the south of the island, stated that she will not play dirty politics as too many people are suffering in the country to spend time tearing each other down. She stated that this is the year 2011 and as such ones skin color, address, economic or social standing does not matter as we cannot allow our difference s to divide us but remember that we are all Grenadians with Grenadian blood running through our veins.

She spoke of her admiration for Political Leader Dr. Keith Mitchell and his loyalty to Grenada . Otway Noel spoke of now being the time for action not the empty promises of the present administration as people are tired and feel abandoned. The NNP is here to rescue Grenada again she said. She offered her time, her love and her energy as she is willing to work to place Grenada back on track. Mrs. Alexandra Otway Noel was one of three new Team leaders mentioned by the NNP at the convention on Sunday.
