ST.GEORGE’S, GRENADA, FEBRUARY 12th, 2010_ Government’s plans for the development of Grenada in general, and the north of the island in particular, will be center stage, when Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas and other Cabinet members meet with residents of River Sallee in a town hall meeting on Tuesday, 16th February, 2010.
The meeting is planned for the River Sallee Government School in St. Patrick’s and will begin at 7.00pm. This is the first town hall meeting for 2010 and marks the continuation of a series of public forums during which Ministers of Government report to the electorate on their stewardship and on national developments.
“We have pledged to the Grenadian people to be transparent and open on dealing with the nation’s business. We also promised to report to them regularly on the government’s plans and programmes. This is even more critical now with the passage of a new budget,” Prime Minister Thomas remarked.
The Prime Minister has consistently embraced opportunities to meet with people in various parts of Grenada on a weekly basis, to discuss their concerns and to offer hope, as government puts measures in place to reduce the impact of the global economic crisis and to stimulate the economy and increase employment.
