NEWS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE NEW NATIONAL PARTY (NNP)

INSIDE GRENADA
FEBRUARY 13, 2008
from the New National Party (NNP)

The constituency of St. Andrew's North West was vibrant and its political pinnacle-alive with excitement and vigor in their quest to ensure that their personal progress and that of the country continue.

On the afternoon of Saturday February 9th, hundreds of NNP supporters, representatives from all polling divisions and well-wishers from surrounding villages and beyond gathered at the Mt. Horne recreational ground and community centre to witness and participate in the endorsement of Mrs. Delma Thomas as the nominated candidate for the constituency.

Mrs. Delma Thomas, a former teacher is very quiet, respectable, committed, patriotic, and hard-working young woman as evidenced by all those who spoke on her behalf.

Present also at this important event was the political leader and Prime Minister, Ministers Yolande Bain-Horsford and Roland Bhola.

There were also several representatives of the party in attendance to witness the ceremony which is a requirement of the party's constitution. This endorsement will now have to be evaluated and accepted by the national executive of the party.

All persons who attended were of the opinion that Mrs. Delma Thomas 's endorsement was proof of the NNP.'s philosophy of positive change as well as the involvement of women and youth with the attributes capable of bringing quality leadership to the party and government.

The constituency's total support for Mrs. Thomas and the party is an indication of our people's understanding of appreciation and support for the Government's programme of positive change and their commitment to let the progress continue.
