CHANGES AMONG PERMANENT SECRETARIES TAKE EFFECT TODAY

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA; MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2010 – In the continuing effort to improve the efficiency of government operations, Secretary to the Cabinet, Mrs. Gemma Bain-Thomas, has announced a change in the portfolios of four Permanent Secretaries.

The changes, which took effect today, Monday, moves Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Elizabeth Henry-Greenidge to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, replacing Lana Mc Phail who is now assigned to the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Ecclesiastical Affairs.

Permanent Secretary (ag.) in the Ministry of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Ann Marie Marryshow, now serves in a similar position in the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, while Maureen Baptiste, Permanent Secretary (ag.) in the Ministry of Labour, is now the Deputy Permanent Secretary, acting, in the Ministry of Finance.
