St. George’s, Grenada: January 11th 2011 - Parliamentary Representative for the constituency of St. George North West and Leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell has contacted the Office of the Commissioner of Police on behalf of his constituents requesting that the police use all possible means to determine the cause of a spate of fires in his constituency in recent months. These firs would have destroyed four dwelling houses.

Dr. Mitchell says he is extremely concerned, noting that the fires seem to be occurring in one village. He said what is also unfortunate is that in that same village over the last weekend, the Beausejour Community Centre was severely vandalized, leaving the building without electricity connection.

The Parliamentary Representative says his prayers are with the affected families and calls on the entire constituency to prayer that God will provide comfort and protection and that this unusual case will be solve in the shortest possible time.
