GOUYAVE, St.John’s: Since its start in June 2005, the Gouyave Fish Friday Festival is held just about every Friday in the town of Gouyave, St. John, Grenada. This event brings many visitors from within Grenada and abroad to taste of the many mouth-watering fish dishes that are prepared by the trained vendors.

Friday April 7 and Friday April 14 (Good Friday) will be different. In order to respect the season of lent, no Fish Friday celebrations will be held on these two Fridays. The following Friday April 21 is scheduled for the OFFICIAL OPENING of the festival, an event that has not yet taken place.

Some vendors feel that missing two Fridays would be a lot to miss. However, the decision has been made and patrons can return to the celebrations on April 21.
