*WHAT MY MOTHER MEANS TO ME*

She is so sweet and nice, so caring and gay,
And she knows my hurt, in a mysterious way.
She treats me with endless love and compassion,
And always puts me ahead of everyone.
Whenever I’m with her, my fears go away,
And she makes me feel in an extra special way.
On this special day, I say ‘Thank you MOTHER’
‘cause I know for sure, there could be no other!
HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY, MY DEAR MOTHER!

*WORDS TO MOTHER*

I know the pain that I sometimes cause your heart
And the joy that I may bring you at times
All the disappointments pride and shame
Still you hope I’ll not remain lost
You shower me with love, pure, so true
Even when I am seemingly undeserving
Only asking that I pay attention and learn the lessons
So as to avoid the same mistakes from ever reoccurring
You’ve showed me that I’m not the first to have fallen
Reminding me that the future still lies ahead
And that it makes no sense dwelling on the past
When there’s a tomorrow to look forward to instead
So I know forgiveness and I know it well
I know sacrifice for its hands I’ve felt
All the times when the presidents and queens were sent
While bills stayed piled up on the shelf
So before black suits, white shirts and ties
Before eulogies, tear stained faces and sad goodbyes
Know that I love you to the realest sense of those words
Even though those sacred words are not often spoken
Know that not one kind deed goes unnoticed
Not one glass of milk is unappreciated
Not one word of advice is unheard
Even though tempers may sometimes explode
And nothing, not even the bitter taste of death,
The wine of no more sweet tomorrows
Can change the fact that you’ve always been
A really wonderful and loving mother.

*WHAT I SAY ABOUT MOTHERS' DAY*

So what shall I say
About Mothers' Day?
Where should I start?
Well, this is the first part;
And it's all coming straight from the heart.

It's a day when mothers should feel appreciated
Preferably they should spend it elated - not inebriated.

Hopefully they'll forget all the stress, the large mess,
Their worn dress and the absent caress;

And think: Oh how nice it is to be Moms!
To be blessed with daughters and sons!

But how soon they grow up and move on!
And what will it be like when they’re gone?

Mothers' Day! A time to pray, and to say: "Father, Have Your own way!"

And how miraculous you are.
You gave me life; I am in your debt
You grew me up, with lots of respect.
For all that's worth, I really can't repay,

Someone who wipes my di’py,
Someone who dries my tears;
Who’ll always be with me,
And always love me dear;
Who keeps me warm and happy,
And gives me good advice
We even sometimes argue
And sometimes have a fight.
You know how much I love you,
