IICA Inter American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) announces the extension of its Essay Competition, "Feeding Ourselves, Securing our Rural Communities - the voice of the Youth". The new deadline for the submission of essays for the competition has now been extended to Friday 22nd September 2006.
The competition is targeted mainly at youths within the ages of 14 to 25, who belong to a community based organization. A key objective of the competition is for the youths to provide ideas on how agriculture can be used to improve the livelihood of families especially in rural communities.
