ST. PATRICK’S, Grenada – Unconfirmed reports just reaching Grenadian Connection (GC) seem to indicate that the mentally deranged man (who chopped three persons in the Mt. Rich, St. Patrick’s area today, killing two of them in the process) was shot this evening by the police and is believed to be dead.

Police were summoned to the Mt. Rich area earlier on today after receiving reports about the ‘Madman’ who wreaked havoc in the peaceful village this afternoon. Residents in the area reported that the policemen had launched an all-out manhunt for the deranged man before he could use his cutlass again with deadly effect.

A member of one family in the area expressed deep sorrow over the way the heartrending events unfolded today, but was relieved to know that his family could go to sleep tonight knowing that the policemen were able to bring to an end the fear that he and his family had knowing that there was a dangerous person on the loose who (allegedly) would have used his cutlass to commit two murders.
