BAGUNA ENTERPRISES LTD

Barguna Enterprises Ltd. is owned and operated by Mr. Kenneth Thomas of Tivoli, St. Andrews. This Company manufactures many products stemming from local herbs and spices. These include: herbal teas, spices, bois bonde infused wines, lemon grass wine; spice flavoured honey, spice scented candles and spice scented air fresheners. These products are excellently packaged and labeled and their quality have improved tremendously over the past two years. In fact, Mr. Thomas has now secured an overseas market for one of his products.

The Grenada Bureau of Standards will like to recognize Mr. Thomas for the utilization of standards to improve the quality of his product.(A plaque was awarded to Mr. Thomas by the GBS in recognition of his achievement).


HENWOOD PRODUCTS LTD

Henwood Products Ltd. is specialized in the production of plantain and banana chips.

The owners, Mrs. Veronica Henwood and Mr. Rodney Henwood, have been involved in agro-processing for the past ten (10) years operating entirely from home.

During this period the Grenada Bureau of Standards has provided technical assistance to this Company in the areas of packaging, labelling and quality improvement

These products have improved greatly and are now nicely packaged in Printed Oriented Polypropylene laminated with casted Polypropylene bags which have good printing characteristics, moisture proof, air proof and are able to exclude light especially UV light. Bar codes and nutritional labeling information are also included on the labels

The Grenada Bureau of Standards will like to recognize the Henwoods for their efforts.(A plaque was given to the Henwoods by the GBS).



MICHELLE’S CONFECTIONERY

Michelle’s Confectionery is a home-based operation making tamarind balls, coconut chip chip, coconut candies, milk and ginger fudges and tamarind sauce. It is owned and operated by Ms. Michelle Peters. of Good Hope Estate, St. Paul’s, St. George’s

Over the past two years the Grenada Bureau of Standards have provided technical assistance to Ms. Peters in the area of labelling, packaging and product improvement. We are quite satisfied with the quality of these products. The shelf life has increased tremendously for her coconut chip chip, milk fudge and coconut candies.
