ST.GEORGE’S, Grenada – Well, as is said many a time; “The hardest kick you can receive is from a dying horse,” but that was not the case even though they fought very hard. Springs lost by the slightest of margins 2-1 to Hard Rock over the weekend in the DIGICEL Premier League.

Springs were only able to amass a total of 11 points thus far with only one match remaining. Even though they go on to win their last match, it would not be enough to save them from automatic relegation to the First Division.

Hard Rock, on the other hand, is leveled on points with second place Queens Park Rangers. Both teams will clash in the final set of matches to signal the end of the League.

D’Sports Shop Morne Jaloux and Fontenoy United are battling to avoid a possible play off with the team placing second in the First Division. And so the final set of matches in the DIGICEL Premier League will be played on Sunday November 12, 2006.

Queens Park Rangers will be at home to Hard Rock. When the two teams met in the first round, Hard Rock came from behind to win 2-1 over at Plains.

ASOMS Paradise will journey over to St. Patrick’s to face Dano Eagles Super Strikers; a team that they won comfortably over in the first game of the season 3-1 at the Beausejour Playing Field.

Then the D’Sports Shop Morne Jaloux and Springs will be of little or no significance to Springs but of great importance to Morne Jaloux. Springs, however, won the first encounter 1-0.

Fontenoy United will be hoping for at least a draw as was the case in their first encounter with Police to save them from a possible play off spot only if Morne Jaloux defeats Springs though.

Carib Hurricane will be seeking to lift the Championship trophy when they journey out to take on a former champion, Glenelg Spring Water GBSS. Hurricane only lead by one (1) point.
