On Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 Grenada Bureau of Standards in collaboration with Grenada Board of Tourism will be hosting a one-day training workshop at the Bureau’s Conference Room in Queen’s Park, St. George’s.

The workshop, ‘Certification Programme for the Hospitality Industry: Training Workshop for Auditors’ seeks to upgrade the skills of persons to the competency level to efficiently and effectively assess/inspect tourist accommodation facilities i.e hotels, guest houses, villas and apartments in Grenada.

The training would focus on Building & Fire Safety, Food Sanitation & Hygiene, Recreational Water Quality, Furnishing & Finishing of physical aspect of the facilities and the audit process. This is part of the Certification Programme for the Hospitality Industry to assist owners of hotels, guesthouses, villas and apartments to meet health and safety market standards for their accommodation facilities.
