NDC IS ONCE AGAIN beating an empty corruption drum as they continue to prey on the vulnerable segment of our population. It is known that NDC is armed with a RUMOUR LIST that is to take them into the election period as they chart their propaganda campaign.

Ethics in politics is what is expected in all of life. The NNP would rather take the high road and not address nor engage ignorance. However, as Government, we are duty bound to inform our citizens of the facts in the face of NDC’S protracted character assassination onslaught as well as their veiled attempts to promote social unrest.

The cheapest and most cruel act by any person, who obviously is living outside the order of society, is to maliciously attempt to slander another. Politics or not, that is gutter tactics. As NDC cannot compete politically or intellectually they choose to go the cheap route. That is NDC’S style. Destroy everyone that stands in their way in their desperate fight for Power. Well! NNP will not be run over by NDC because we do not travel the type of Roads that they travel. We conduct ourselves as professionals entrusted with the leadership of this blessed country and will act accordingly.

A libelous claim is being made by a desperate individual against a Government Minister. The matter is now subject to a court hearing scheduled for mid 2007.

It is important to note that the new face of the NDC is the same old face of the RMC. The same propaganda strategy of lies and innuendos used on the late Prime Minister Eric Gairy - putting blood on his hands were all lies as we know today. But today, as our memory will serve us, they are trying the same old played-out tactics hoping to stir up trouble…when they are the true criminals with Grenada’s blood on their hands.
Remember the old adage: “you can fool some of the people some of the time but not all the people all the time.”

The strategy to relentlessly plant rumors of corruption with the hope that if they are repeated enough times people are likely to start believing them. They go around proclaiming that they are Government in waiting, and every dollar they collect on the needs of the Grenadian people they run around the country holding rallies, spreading their Devil works - malicious propaganda of corruption and hate.

The planting of malicious rumors of corruption are a farce and despicable behavior, but being caught in the act of committing a criminal offense is a Crime. And NDC is loaded with members of its executive who serve as Parliamentary Representatives that are at odds with the Law. That is a fact as is the NDC Member of Parliament who is knee-deep in insurance fraud and who is not too far removed from a rape charge. There is another NDC Member of Parliament who has a reputation of giving assurance to criminal elements that it is OK to deal with drugs. This is the same MP that has a four page list of judgments filed against him in the United States.

There is yet another NDC Member of Parliament that was a shadow Minister of Finance when millions of dollars disappeared from the Treasury. This MP as a member of the Cabinet of the revolutionary government presided over the execution of Prime Minister, Maurice Bishop and his Cabinet. There is another executive member who is still reeling from the fall out over the disclosure of his sexual molestation of a minor while under his medical care. There are also rumors of unsavory behavior by other members of their executive but we are not interested in rumors, we just deal with the mere facts which are available and are laid out in the aforementioned.

How can NDC or any organization with members who commit such atrocious acts have the audacity to impose ethical standards on others? NDC does no service to the truth or Grenada, the country they profess to love, by maliciously propagating to the international community that there is corruption in Government in their hope that the negative attention will absolve them of their evil-doings. As a responsible Government, our honesty will never be mitigated by us addressing the deplorable behavior and undertakings of the NDC.

What is the nature of men who aspire to be political leaders and will stop at nothing, stoop to anything in their thirst for Power? - Power to be vengeful and destructive. We have always stated that while NDC plays on the minds of the vulnerable, the antidote applied by this Government is its commitment to encourage, enlighten, educate, empower and protect.
