THE NATIONAL Celebrations Committee, in collaborations with the Grenada Cultural Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, will be staging a special Christmas programme at two locations.

It will be at the Grenville Car Park on Thursday 21st December and at the Botanical Gardens on Friday 22nd December featuring a number of choirs, steel bands, soloist and calypsonians.

According to Public Relations Officer Shirma Wells, the programme is geared towards featuring the traditional meaning of Christmas.

It also caters for the entire family.

Performances start a 6:00pm in Grenville and 6:30pm at the Botanical Gardens.

Both places will be transformed with the keeping of the Christmas spirit and showcased as a Christmas venue with lights and decorations.

Another feature of the Christmas programme is a stall where Christmas goodies will be on sale offering thing like Christmas Cake, Punch a Crème etc.

Although this is not a replacement of Christmas in the Rainforest it is still considered as the premiere event of the Christmas season.
