The NNP’s Constituency Branch Executive for St. Andrew’s NW has once again made a concerted effort to spread the spirit of Christmas to residents of the twelve villages making up the constituency.

From Monday of this week through to Thursday, the executive team, spearheaded by the dynamic duo of Mr. Stalin Romain and Mrs. Delma Thomas, visited each of the villages within the area to light Christmas trees, distribute toys to hundreds of excited youngsters, socialize with those present and partake in Christmas treats organized by the different village groups. Later on during the week, the team intends to distribute Christmas hampers to some of the needy persons throughout the constituency.

Both Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Romain spoke to the scores of villagers - who turned out at each of these functions - about the true meaning of Christmas and the need to remember the purpose for which the Christ Child came over two thousand years ago – to bring light, hope, love, direction and meaning to the lives of humankind.

They urged the villagers to make a special effort throughout the Christmas season and the years ahead to love each other, help each other, work with each other and do all they possibly can so as to transform and add to the quality of life in their homes, their communities and their country. They informed the happy residents that by doing these things, they will help to make Grenada a better, brighter and more prosperous place for themselves, their children and their grand-children.

They consistently wished everyone present, at each of these functions, a violent-free and enjoyable Christmas and a very happy and productive New Year.
