The funeral for the late Rosamond Deloris Hutchinson will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at St. Catherine of Genoa Church located at 520 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11203. The viewing will be held from 10-11am followed by the funeral service at 11am. Please give your condolences to the Hutchinson family.

Rosamond Deloris Hutchinson, lovingly known to many as "Rosie," was a beacon of love, joy, and laughter to everyone blessed to know her. Rosamond was born on January 16, 1977, in the parish of St. Andrews, Grenada, to the late Marlyn Hutchinson. A true Grenadian at heart, she embraced her island roots with pride, carrying its culture and traditions wherever life took her. Her warm smile, caring nature, and joyful spirit made her a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend—a true light in the lives of all who knew her.
Rosamond began her early education at Holy Innocent Anglican School before embarking on her life's journey abroad. In October 1999, Rosamond moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she built a life filled with love and devotion to her family. Her greatest joy came from being a devoted mother to her three children-Kayon, her eldest daughter; Rashaun, her son; and Rashawna, her youngest daughter—and the proud grandmother of little Ava, who brought her endless smiles.
Rosamond poured her heart into caring for others—not only as a beloved family member but also through her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She loved cooking for family and friends, never missed a chance to celebrate their special occasions, and found joy in Soca music, traditional Grenadian meals, and cheering on her country's athletes in track and field. She was a proud member of St. Catherine of Genoa Church.
Rosamond's warmth, love, and selflessness will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marlyn Hutchinson. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children and granddaughter: Kayon, Rashaun, Rashawna, and Ava; her siblings: Esmond (Glenda) Hutchinson, Simon (Sannet) Hutchinson, and Ivanna Mulrain; her aunts Marilyn and Eulyn; her uncles Datelyn, Allyn, Moslyn, Curlyn, and Deslyn; her nephews Esmond Jr. and Grayson Hutchinson; her nieces Simone and Elyse Hutchinson; her special cousin and friend, Leslie Ann; and a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
